What does the contract price include/exclude? |
Meridian’s contracts include everything from planning,
design, permits, site work, and the smallest of construction
details allowing for a move in ready home. |

How long will it take to build my house? |
The timeline for building a Meridian home can be as little
as 5 months or can be extended longer to accommodate larger builds
with more intricate detailing. |

How many choices can I make to personalize my house?
|
Following the true definition of a custom home, you are free
to select all aspects of your home, independently or with the
assistance of our Meridian design team.

When do my selections have to be made?
|
| Apart from industry standards, Meridian provides a 12-16 week
schedule for selections. This schedule allows you some
context within which to make decisions (by being able to visit
the site and better visualize how your selections will fit into
your home) and makes the selection process something to be enjoyed
rather then endured. |

How do changes to the
original contract affect my project? |
Changes to the original package on the basis of amenities or
personal taste can impact the cost and time of the project. However,
Meridian assumes responsibility for weighing structural, functional
or even aesthetical changes that may enhance the authenticity
of the design. If a change is necessary to promote the
house’s performance and overall presentation it would be
considered our responsibility in most cases.

Who do I deal with on a regular basis?
|
The president of Meridian Builders is ultimately responsible
for your satisfaction. Supporting him is a team of professionals
who will contribute to the project and provide assistance to
him and guidance to you in each phase of construction.

How are allowances, credits
and changes tracked during the project? |
A client ledger is created to maintain an active and on-going
list of all change requests, credits, debits, allowances and
possible alterations to timeline. This is reviewed bi-weekly
and signed off by Meridian and the client to ensure there are
no surprises to either party through each phase of construction. This
allows our clients more flexibility in managing their allowances
and ultimately helps them make financial decisions as it relates
to change orders and selections.

How much work on my project is subcontracted?
|
In order to maintain control over the quality of your home,
we have invested in the hiring and training of an in-house team
to handle 100% of project management and over 75% of total construction
efforts. This allows Meridian to manage the project with
the highest level of quality and accuracy, while minimizing potential
adverse effects of subcontracting.

What kind of warranty do you have?
|
Each Meridian home is covered under a 1 year comprehensive home
warranty. Meridian will be your focal point for any warranty
item and a team member will completely coordinate the resolution
of your issue. In addition, we offer the option to purchase
an extended 5 or 10 year service plan.
